Significant waves of growth and innovation in international arbitration have swept over Japan and California over the past few years. This program will mainly focus on the developments in Japan while noting some important commonalities with California arbitration as well as potential areas of collaboration between the practitioners in these two jurisdictions. The unique interactive arbitration rules of The Japan Commercial Arbitration Association will also be discussed.
